Since the formation of Encore in April 2008, Jamie has held a production role in all 19 productions to date, either as Director, Executive Producer or in a key Production role. Offstage, he is currently Co-President and Secretary/Treasurer of Encore.

Combining the heavy workload associated with a thriving theatre company with his real profession (as Tasmanian Branch Manager of Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.) means life is rarely dull.

Jamie has directed all 4 of Encore’s successful stage adaptations of popular television series, and has relished taking the helm, casting some of the very best actors the city has to offer and bringing these well-known and much-loved series to life in the Earl Arts Centre.

As a founding member, Wendy has been involved in Encore Theatre Company since it began in 2008, and has been involved both on and off stage for all of their productions.

Wendy has had many varied roles during her time with Encore Theatre Company, from being a founding member, Vice President, Public Officer, Assistant Director (The Boy from Oz), Crew member (High School Musical), Set Manager (Grease), and the list goes on. But the role of Executive Producer (Fawlty Towers and Fawlty Towers 2) is one of her favourites; putting together of all department heads is a rewarding challenge, and to make sure the show has the best people for the job.

Leroy Enniss

Leroy Enniss

General Committee

Leigh has a long-standing love of theatre and music going back to his high school days where he enjoyed roles in Oliver! and My Fair Lady. In more recent times he has fronted his band Bootleg.

His love of singing led him to Encore in 2009, and he has enjoyed playing numerous character roles, taking you back to the 50’s in Grease as rocker Johnny Casino, leading the brothers as Reuben in Joseph, to being able to make the ballet corps scatter with just one look and a deftly thrown lasso noose as Buquet in The Phantom of the Opera!

Offstage, Leroy handles many of the logistics with set transportation and storage, and on-site and in-theatre safety.

Annie Scott
