Buddy

BUDDY The Buddy Holly Story at the Princess Theatre 22-30 July 2016

Before the Beatles.. Before the Stones. One kid was making history.

It’s 1959. Buddy Holly and The Crickets are the hottest thing goin’ in rock ’n’ roll! After a meteoric rise to the top, Buddy and The Crickets part ways. A whirlwind romance and marriage are on the cards for Buddy, and yet with royalties tied up by his producer, he takes off with entertainer J.P. Richardson “The Big Bopper” & Ritchie Valens for a Midwestern Winter Dance Party Tour.

BUDDY The Buddy Holly Story relates the true story of Buddy’s rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when That’ll Be The Day! hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later on “the Day The Music Died”.

Featuring all his hit songs, this joyous celebration of a musical legend has been seen by more than 20 million people across the globe. Starring MATTHEW GARWOOD in the title role, BUDDY had people dancing in the aisles and rocking out at the Princess Theatre.
