Encore Theatre Company Academy

Poised to make a transformative impact on youth arts in Tasmania, this exciting initiative will offer young performers aged 6 to 18 the opportunity to grow their skills.

Students will work on acting, voice, singing, dance, musical theatre repertoire and technical theatre skills, with projects and masterclasses being led by top local and industry professionals.

Andy Prideaux, an established teacher and singer-musician, and equality and inclusion advocate, is Course Leader. He is joined by Matt Gower, Encore Public Officer, businessman and an established musical theatre performer as Co-Chief Operating Officers.

And local theatre legend Di Summers, with a lifetime of teaching, dancing, directing and performing arts hands-on experience, has agreed to be the Academy’s inaugural Ambassador.

At Encore Theatre Company Academy individuality will be nurtured, diversity embraced, and students empowered to be creative and brave.
