Winner of Eight Tony and Grammy awards, and more recently popularised on the big screen starring Johnny Depp, this electrifying production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical thriller Sweeney Todd is musical theatre at its very best.
Set in Victorian London, it tells the infamous tale of Sweeney Todd, the legendary demon barber of Fleet Street, who serves up his justice vigilante-style and forms an enterprising business relationship with Mrs Lovett, the proprietor of the local pie-shop.
Full of spine-tingling wit, infectious melodies and wicked humour acclaimed by critics and audiences alike this razor sharp production took to the Earl Arts Centre stage in November 2012.
