The Boy from Oz tells the dazzling, funny and heartbreaking story of the life of legendary Australian entertainer and songwriter, Peter Allen.
From humble beginnings in the 1950s, growing up in Tenterfield NSW, Peter was singing in country pubs at age 11. He survived family tragedy, to become a local teenage TV star.
Discovered by Judy Garland, he married her daughter Liza Minnelli and went on to achieve international stardom as a performer and song writer.
Featuring some of the most iconic songs ever written by an Australian including I Go To Rio, I Honestly Love You, Don’t Cry Out Loud, Everything Old Is New Again and the Academy Award winning Arthur’s Theme, this production will dazzle and electrify, and have you singing (and crying) through Peter’s incredible life story and his catapulting rise to fame as a global phenomenon
